With a 164 real people, 20 Businesses and a couple of famous characters including Paolo Nutini and artist John Byrne in the original artwork
In 2018 at auction, proceeds from the sale of the original artwork "Aw the Buddies at Barshaw Park" will be going to help support MS Scotland.

In April 2017 a very unique painting began, with some rough sketches and unsure about this original idea, Paisley artists G. Byars asked Pearo from Hamishes Hoose for his advice and this was the first business to go into the painting. The Paisley Daily Express then published an article, to which a chap Lawrence Gilgallon requested to be 1 of the main characters at the front.

on a summers day at Barshaw Park looking down from the hill, over the pond and with Paisley's Architecture in the background. There are now 164 real people, 20 Businesses and a couple of famous characters including Paolo Nutini and artist John Byrne in the original artwork. The sale of the orginal artwork will go to auction for MSS in late 2018 at a prestigius event and online.

Garry said: -" Paisley is a really a very beautiful town and with stunning Architecture. It all started out as a bit of fun and to paint all the various local characters, there are even 2 Police Officers in the orginal painting.

Pearo commented: - "I think this is a unique piece of art, that has the support form a huge part of the community in Paisley. This year long project of Garry's has shown that his talent and hard work is appreciated by not only his fellow buddies but also people all around the world".

Lawrence Gilgallon commented: - "Iam pleased to be a initial supporter of Garry’s iconic picture which brings back happy family memories of visits to Barshaw park. A picture that brings the Paisley community spirit to the fore".

Aw the Buddies at Barshaw Park
Why MS Scotland ?
Garry said: - This went far beyond my expectation and with so many local buddies participating, it was only right that the sale of the original painting should go to a charity. As a very close family member had Multiple Sclerosis Atrophy, this is why I have chosen MS Scotland as the charity. Which I hope "Aw the Buddies at Barshaw Park" painting can help in any small way to raise awareness about MS Scotland and the good work that they do".
